Today's Work: First fill out the scene summaries into your chart. Next, finish your questions from yesterday if you have not, and write QW #4

Act 3 Scene 2 and 3 summaries for page 31 of your packet:
Scene 2:
The forum: Brutus speaks before the commoners about why Caesar needed to die. Marc Antony speaks and the crowd decides to pursue the conspirators and kill them. Octavius arrives in Rome. Brutus and Cassius flee.
Scene 3:
A famous Roman poet "Cinna" mistaking him for the conspirator "Cinna." The crowd eventually realizes they have the wrong man, but kill him anyways because he they are so angry. They rush through the city looking for the true murders of Caesar.


Here are  the comprehension questions for Act 3.2 from the packet pg.32:
1. That Caesar was too ambitious. He loved Rome more than Caesar or himself.
2. They feel the conspirators' reasons were just. They love Brutus. Caesar was too ambitious.
3. He wasn't there. He left Antony alone.
4. Caesar's will. They want him to read it to them.
5. The bloody body of Caesar. They are shocked/disgusted by the wounds and blood.

   In the play The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, the character of Brutus gives Marc Antony three rules to follow if he wants to speak at Caesar's funeral.
