Tuesday's Work:

First, we will start with watching the movie (15 min)
Second, we will make our heading (for our essay/MLA format)
Third, we will work on the Planning Document you received yesterday in your essay packet

*Note: the optional quiz I mentioned to you last week was also posted--it should be finished this week if you want to use that grade.

TRY TO GET THIS FINISHED BY TOMORROW SO YOU CAN BEGIN THE NEXT STEP--DRAFTING!!! (IF YOU DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL TOMORROW YOU SHOULD HAVE ENOUGH INFORMATION TO WRITE THE ESSAY AT HOME)

Today's Work: You will have the majority of the period to work on your essay

1. First, create a Works Cited page:

2. Copy and paste it to your word document/hand write on a page of its own with a Title/Centered: "Works Cited"--see example here: Example-----this should be the last page of your document.
3. Follow along with me on the board as I outline for you what you will do today.
4. FINISH THE PLANNING SHEET FIRST!!!! YES IT COUNTS TOWARDS YOUR ESSAY GRADE!!! (10 PTS OF 100)

REMEMBER--use MEANINGFUL TEXTUAL EVIDENCE not just ANY TEXTUAL EVIDENCE!!!! Think to yourself, if this were a crime scene, would you want a DNA sample or a shoe print the dirt!
