Act I packet: pages 47-48 "Mood"

Part A
1.Brave, courageous, hostile fearless
2.Fear, anxiety, uneasiness
3.Regret, sorrow, distress
4.Fear, revenge, evil
5.Evil, unnatural, insane
6.Happy, comfortable, airy, light
Part B:
There seems to be a dark and foreboding sense of evil and unnaturalness
2. The witches make predictions for MB—he accepts his fate, but then thinks evil when Malcolm is appointed. Lady MB receives his letter and only thinks of murder so MB can be king.
3. They are changed. When MB is hailed a hero in Sc. 2 we respect him. The mood goes back to dark and evil until Duncan arrives at Mb’s house; it is comfortable and safe. It changes again to dark and evil (suspense) which gives you the idea everything will get “dark” and “evil” as the play goes on.
