Writing Your Own "Modest Proposal"

First, we need to finish going over the basic outline of Swift's piece--start p. 615. (complete your chart if you need to)
Second, open up your SOAPSTone notes and review what we did for this piece.
Third, look over the assignment sheet for writing a "Modest Proposal."
Fourth, make your own SOAPSTone notes--meaning what is your subject,purpose, audience, tone, etc.
Fifth, begin writing. This will be due at the end of class tomorrow (but you will not have the entire period to work). It must be typed in a proper MLA format with a heading. It will count as an essay grade worth 100 points (rubric is on the back). Please put the completed paper in my drop box or send it to me through Google Docs.
