Answers from yesterday....

3. The novel begins in 1980.
4. Two outcomes of the Islamic Revolution were girls wearing the veil and schools were separated boys/girl no longer bilingual.
5. The universal truth about society is that the problems/beliefs of adults are forced upon the society’s children.
6. The schools were now religious and non-bilingual and also separated girl/boy. Girls were made to feel “less-than”.

10. Her mother’s photo was published because she was protesting without a veil..She was scared because she didn’t know if there would be backlash.

13. Because our maid did not eat with us, my father had a Cadillac, and my grandmother’s knees always ached. To help/heal others and provide equality.
