Homework for Wed. 12/12 and Class Assignment Due Today

Homework: pgs. 57-58 in Act II packet--figurative language

*How would you describe Lady Macbeth in Acts I-IV? What has she said/done to make us feel this way about her? (indirect characterization)
Ok--let's see how she changes in Act V.

*In paragraph form, complete a characterization of Lady Macbeth in Act V, Scene 1. Use a minimum of 2 adjectives to describe her in your writing, as well as a minimum of two textual examples to support your claims. (For example: we see she is a greedy person because in line...).
*In paragraph form, compare and contrast Lady Macbeth in Act V, scene 1 to Lady Macbeth in Acts I-IV (our discussion at the beginning of class).

    We see that she is feeling guilty about helping macbeth kill duncan Line:33
    She also feels guilty about banquo's death even though she had nothing to with it Line:59

  2. - In act 5 Lady Macbeth is starting to show the real her. She is starting to feel guilty about the murders and it is showing while she is sleeping. In lines 39-41 she cry's "The thane of fife had a wife. Where is she now? What, will these hands ne'er be clean?" Also in lines 42-44 she saes "No o' that, my lord no more o' that! You mar all with this staring" She is telling the lord that there will be no more of this murdering that everything will be fine, she is sorry and she is not as strong and brave as she once made herself seem.
