In my absence....

This will count as a grade in quarter 3. Please complete and leave in the appropriate box for your class period if you want credit. It cannot be turned in tomorrow if you choose not to work.

1. The substitute should hand you a multiple choice worksheet based on Guns, Germs, and Steel: Collision at Cajamarca
2. This is NOT A QUIZ grade, even though it says it is--it will count as an in-class graded assignment though. TAKE YOUR TIME.
3. You may use the text for support if you wish. Since there are very few copies left (even though the copies were to remain in the room), I have provided a link to the texts (below) if you need it and do not receive one.
4. Tomorrow we will begin source 2 for the research paper.

To read the Guns, Germs, and Steel text: Click here (note you will have to scroll down past "Yali's Question" to get to the "Collision at Cajamarca" section that you need

For Wednesday and Thursday: Finishing your outline and typing the essay--please work steadily!!!!

First, start by downloading the template for your essay:
MLA Essay Template:template

Second, work on finishing your essay outline first and have me check it for accuracy

Third, begin typing the essay (hopefully, you will have time to finish a rough draft and have time to edit it tomorrow before you turn in the final draft to be graded)

Remember:
*Make sure you cite correctly (Act.Scene.lines)
*You use the sheet in your strategies sections to vary your essay language (signal words)
