Ch. 7--What did I miss?

It's a rainy day, and Jane wants to go visit Bingley and his sisters at Netherfield. She asks if she can use the family carriage to which Mrs. Bennet replies, "No." This seems strange considering it is cold and rainy and Netherfield is approx. 3-5 miles from Longbourn. However, Mrs. Bennet has a plan! She wants Jane to get very sick on her journey so that the Bingley's will be forced to keep her there for several days while she recovers. Hopefully, this plan will make Bingley spend time with her and through worrying about her health, make him realize that he loves her!

In other words: dropping good allusions will make you sound smart.
