Ch. 1: Day 2

Directions: Copy the following sentences in red on the small slip of paper you were handed. Fill in each   blank with one of the 4 unit vocabulary words from yesterday (if you were not here try your best and get the notes. I will collect as credit!!!:

Today we will:
1. Practice unit vocabulary words by using in sample sentences--(half sheet of paper)
2. Write down the location helpers of the questions you have not yet completed-- this should help you move things along faster when you answer them later.

2. I will begin reading on the middle of page 3, "As in Omaha..."and stop on page 6, "You're scaring these white folks to death!"
3. You will pick up where I left off , "One of the reasons I've always felt..." (6) and read to the middle of page 8 "you had better make some noise"
4. When you are finished, go back and complete the worksheet questions (#4--8). PLEASE REMEMBER TO USE THE RACE STRATEGY WHEN NEEDED.
