Quick Write #4 must be done in class today!!

Last week we took some notes on the STEAL method of characterization:

Looks

Copy down the following notes--we will fill in the right hand side together based on Ch. 6: "Detroit Red" and today's reading.
Read pages 111-114

Quick Write#4: How does Malcolm Little evolve over the course of the reading up until this point? (Ch. 1-6). (In other words: How does he change from the beginning of the book until what we have read so far?)

• Give at least 2 adjectives in your description of Malcolm (min. 1 of the beginning and min. 1 later on)
• Give a minimum of 2 pieces of textual evidence 
• Make sure you explain/analyze your choices of adjectives (connect your evidence to your adjective)

Tuesday--No regular Quiz--Reading Diagnostic Test
Wednesday--1/2 day--those in class will have time to work on typing their college essays
Thursday--Begin reading ch. 8
Friday--continue ch. 8/college essays due!!!
