In "1965" Malcolm X makes several profound statements including:
 "But it is only after the deepest darkness that the greatest joy can come;  it is only after slavery and prison that the sweetest appreciation of freedom can come" (387).
1. What do you think Malcolm means by this statement?
2. How can it relate to his life from what you have read? (GENERAL EXAMPLES/NOT QUOTES)
3. What did you learn from the life of Malcolm X that you can incorporate into your own life (this lesson or another?)
