- Select 1 of the soliloquies from Acts I and II of Macbeth (there is one on side 1, and one on side 2).
- Provide a complete characterization of Macbeth in your chosen soliloquy (using at least 2 adjectives/character traits)
- Support your characterization claims using AT LEAST 4 EXAMPLES OF specific textual evidence (exact lines)
- Explain how your textual evidence proves your chosen adjectives or character traits.
- Explain the author's purpose in providing this information to you (why is it important to know it is a soliloquy? Why is the author providing you with this insight into Macbeth's thoughts? What effect does it have on the audience?)
- I would recommend a minimum of 4 paragraphs (indent for new paragraphs please) using at least 2 pieces of textual evidence per paragraph.
