Setting is not only time and place of events.
Remember, class was very important to people at the this time, and because of the "new rich" the upper class wanted to make sure there was still a distinction between this middle class and themselves.
*Longbourn--where the Bennets live
*Netherfield--Bingley's house
-----copy this down on a scrap/notes so that you can answer during the film clip--- Describe the setting:
-What is your initial impression of the Bennet's house? (size, decor, etc.)
-What do you notice that indicates the fact that they have money/do not have tons of money?
-Why do you think people may have placed more importance on the exterior of the home than the interior?
-Use some adjectives in your answer please.
Is it possible to put clips of the movie on the blogspot?
